This is part of our series on the Dimension of Wellness.
According to OSU.org: The emotionally well person can identify, express and manage the entire range of feelings and would consider seeking assistance to address areas of concern. Emotional wellness is being able to cope with stress and expressing your emotions in an effective manner. Develop awareness of your emotions and use healthy coping strategies for emotional regulation and self-care. Allow yourself to fully feel and express your emotions by communicating your wants, needs and emotions with others and setting healthy boundaries. Surround yourself with supportive people who make you feel good and ask for help when you need it.
